Azure DevOps Engineer (GenAI Platform)

Tasks

• Construction, operation, and continuous further development of a modern GenAI platform based on Microsoft Azure
• Configuration and management of Azure Cloud resources, especially Azure API Management, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence and Storage Accounts
• Provisioning and management of the platform infrastructure as code (Infrastructure as Code) with Terraform, Helm Charts and GitLab
• Automation of build, test, and release processes for GenAI applications in the area of LLMOps to ensure reliable and efficient deployments in development, test, and production environments.
• Operation and further development of Kubernetes-based applications and services, for example Langfuse.
• Implementation and optimization of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Azure Monitor.
• Monitoring of system performance, availability, and logs as well as early detection and resolution of operational problems.
• Development and implementation of technical concepts for new requirements as well as for the ongoing optimization of the GenAI platform.
• Consideration of company-wide and regulatory requirements as well as coordination with IT Security, domain architecture and other relevant stakeholders.
• Implementation and further development of functions for authorization checks, logging, monitoring, and routing logics.
• Support of client applications with technical and conceptual questions, integrations, and onboarding, as well as with disruptions in ongoing operations

Requirements

• Sound experience with DevOps toolchains and automation, especially Git, GitLab, Docker and Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, especially in the areas of Azure API Management, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure AI Foundry and Azure Storage Accounts
• Knowledge in the area of DevOps, including the use of monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor), logging systems and alerting
• Project experience with GenAI technologies, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI
• Fluent German skills

Advantageous

• Experience in the optimization and productive operation of GenAI solutions as well as with LLMOps
• Sound knowledge in authentication and authorization, especially with Microsoft Entra ID, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and OAuth
• Programming experience with Python and/or Java. Knowledge in IBM MQ Series, Oracle DB or PostgreSQL
