Being a consultant can sometimes be perceived as solitary work, but that could not be further from reality at dbi services. Every day, our experts interact and organize themselves among one another when consulting our clients.

Your days will not follow a fixed routine and will include service desk tasks, training, internal projects and, in particular, missions at our clients. What can you expect? The design of high-availability architectures, the installation and configuration of SQL Server instances, infrastructure support and maintenance, task automation and troubleshooting of performance issues, and much more.

What to expect

As an MS SQL Server consultant, you will provide support to our clients on-site or remotely during different project phases:

• Support of MS database environments and infrastructures
• Review and audit of environments
• Implementation of new architectures and migrations
• Installation and configuration of instances
• Database maintenance
• Performance optimization
• PowerShell and T-SQL development
• Task and capacity planning
• Securing applications and databases
• Automation using tools such as Ansible
• High availability: mirroring, log-shipping, AlwaysOn, Clustering
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server BI (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Power BI or Microsoft Azure Fabric is also a plus, as is knowledge of Python, JSON, Power Query and DAX, as well as the Azure stack, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and Azure DevOps.

As an MS SQL Server consultant, you will devote most of your time to consulting tasks and will perform service desk work one day per week. Like all our consultants, you will benefit from approximately 20 days per year of continuous training and internal projects. You will also have the opportunity to train our clients and attend technical conferences. Attached to the 10-person "Microsoft" team, you will be under the supervision of its Delivery Manager. If necessary, the Technology Leader and your colleagues are there to support you. Here are the essential skills for this position:

• You demonstrate good social skills
• You wish to undergo training and obtain certifications
• You have at least 3 years of proven experience in the design, implementation, maintenance and optimization of MS SQL Server infrastructures

• You speak French fluently (minimum C1 level)
• You understand and express yourself orally and in writing in English (minimum B1 level)
