The Staatsanwaltschaft is responsible for criminal prosecution, insofar as an administrative authority is not responsible according to the Einführungsgesetz zum Schweizerischen Strafgesetzbuch. The Allgemeine Abteilung of the Staatsanwaltschaft handles all cases where no other jurisdiction is given, in particular the jurisdiction of the Verkehrsabteilung or the Abteilung Jugendanwaltschaft.

At the Staatsanwaltschaft Schaffhausen, an internship position for lawyers with a completed Master's degree is to be filled in the Allgemeine Abteilung as of 1. Januar 2027 for 13 months.

• An insight into the entire field of activity of a Staatsanwalt
• Opportunity to deepen knowledge in Strafprozessrecht and Strafrecht
• Collaboration or independent processing of criminal investigations under the supervision of a Staatsanwalt
• Conducting interrogations, drafting disposal decisions and statements in appeal proceedings under the supervision of a Staatsanwalt
• Making clarifications on legal questions

What you bring with you ##

• A completed law degree (MLaw) and enjoyment of Strafrecht
• Initial experience in administration, in a court and/or in the Advokatur is an advantage
• Stylistic confidence in the German language in speech and writing
• High communication skills, skillful handling of different interest groups of various levels and an affinity for criminal prosecution
