Start of employment: 01.10.2026 or by arrangement Work location: Bern In the migration sector, the Amt für Bevölkerungsdienste is responsible for all services related to entry, residence, and exit, as well as for the provision of emergency aid and the enforcement of removals. Organizationally, the advertised position is located within the Team Recht und Kommunikation, reporting directly to the Head of Office. It undertakes the legal advice and support of the two migration services in demanding legal matters. Your tasks <br /> • Processing of complex and politically influenced individual cases in the migration sector in French and German • Helping to shape a new cantonal legal practice for hardship applications from persons with protection status S from spring 2027 • Ensuring a congruent legal practice in the foreign nationals and asylum sector of the Canton of Bern • Preparing consultations and statements in appeal proceedings up to the Federal Supreme Court • Creating decrees • Advising case officers (case discussions) • Creating comprehensive decision-making bases • Legal representation of the office externally <br /> Your profile <br /> • Master of Law with several years of professional experience • Good knowledge of Swiss foreign nationals law, EU freedom of movement law, and administrative procedural law with an affinity for asylum law • Knowledge and experience in the application of other legal areas • Strong political sensibility • Negotiation skills, confident appearance, and assertiveness • Stylistic proficiency in oral and written communication in French and German <br /> We offer you A varied and responsible activity in a lively working environment in which you can contribute your legal expertise daily.
