Der Sozialdienst Zulg in Steffisburg is responsible for the tasks of child and adult protection as well as social assistance in the municipality of Steffisburg and nine other municipalities in the eastern Thun administrative district (a total of approx. 20,000 inhabitants). Social work in this diverse catchment area - an urban-oriented seat municipality and rural outlying municipalities - is exciting and extremely varied. We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker FH/BSc 70 - 90 % ## starting November 2026 or by arrangement Your area of responsibility • Counseling and development of individual and goal-oriented solutions for the sustainable improvement of the living situation of supported persons • Assessments, mandate management and reporting in the area of child and adult protection • Alignment of economic social assistance; support in enforcing and securing claims against social insurance providers • Contribution of professional expertise and co-shaping of social work • We basically have a polyvalent social service with a dynamic team, in which you take on tasks from economic social assistance as well as adult and child protection. Depending on your personal preference, professional experience and further training that you bring, we are open to specialization in one or more specialist areas for which your heart beats. Your profile • You have a degree in social work and already have practical experience in statutory social work (child and adult protection, social assistance). • You are a team player and have a flair for writing and for numbers. • You are fit for digital working, resilient and a well-organized personality. • Solution-oriented thinking is one of your strengths. • You are empathetic and have outstanding negotiation skills.
