Your Tasks

Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) is a global Business Area of METTLER TOLEDO. Our employees develop, produce, and market high-precision instruments to enable our customers to achieve the greatest possible benefit in their demanding application areas. At our global, operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee, we are looking for a Team Lead Technical Documentation 80% - 100% (w/m/d) to strengthen our R&D team.

In this key function, you will undertake the following activities:

• You will take over the technical and personnel leadership of the technical documentation team and coordinate cross-site cooperation with internal, external, and international employees, including in India
• You are responsible for the planning and (multi-)project management of the technical documentation for product development projects, coordinate technical changes, and ensure efficient resource planning
• You act as a central Point of Contact and maintain active stakeholder management with project managers, product management, and other internal specialist departments
• You ensure the timely and high-quality creation of service manuals, user manuals, reference manuals, and other product-related documentation and support the team with demanding technical questions
• You continuously develop processes, methods, and tools for technical documentation and actively drive their digitalization and automation forward
• You are responsible for compliance and implementation of relevant regulatory requirements, such as DIN EN IEC/IEEE 82079, Machinery Regulation, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and Digital Product Passport (DPP)
• You shape the further development of terminology management as well as technical visualization and promote knowledge transfer within the international team
• You coordinate external service providers, especially for translations and additional team capacities, and ensure efficient cooperation with the internal specialist departments

Your Profile

We have the following requirements for this position:

• You have completed training in the field of technical writing (FH, HF, TS, federal diploma) or a comparable technical education
• You bring at least five years of relevant professional experience in technical documentation as well as ideally at least two years of leadership or comparable coordination experience
• You have sound experience in project and multi-project management as well as in resource planning and know how to lead an experienced team in a partnership-based manner and at eye level
• Experience in working with international and distributed teams, ideally with offshore locations such as India, as well as strong intercultural competence distinguish you
• You have very good knowledge of an XML-based editing system, for example SCHEMA ST4, as well as ideally experience with digital instructions (HTML) and content delivery systems
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, CAD-based 3D visualization or animation, as well as experience with new digital technologies and AI applications are an advantage
• You convince through a structured and independent way of working, strategic thinking, initiative, and communication strength, and maintain an overview even in complex coordination and decision-making processes
• Very good English skills are required due to our international and technical environment; very good German skills are of great advantage for cooperation with local stakeholders
