La Fondation Enfance Emma Couvreu has been actively committed since 1829 to the reception, protection, and support of minors in danger in their development. Our services are addressed to children as well as to their parents. We implement our actions in accordance with values that we embody on a daily basis. Our activities are fully part of the minor protection policy enacted by the State of Vaud. Driven by its commitment, the Foundation manages 5 boarding schools and 6 outpatient units, mobilizing more than 250 employees for this purpose.

The main mission of the Accueil Socio-éducatif de jour (ASEJ) consists of developing and supporting the conditions necessary for the developmental recovery of the child and the support of parents in the exercise of their parenting in order to promote the child's maintenance in their family environment.

In this framework, the ASEJ protection measure has the mission of offering socio-educational aid to families in difficulty in the education of their child. This translates, on one hand, into specialized reception and educational support for children aged 6 to 16 and, on the other hand, through support to the family system and within the primary network.

The proposed support takes place from Monday to Friday during school periods, as well as one Saturday out of two and during part of the school holidays. Children are received during the lunch break as well as in the afternoon between the return from school and 18h. Out-of-walls work (at home or in the primary network) takes place mainly outside of the children's reception hours in the structure.

Job description
The Unit Manager (RU) is, by delegation from the Sector Management, the daily guarantor of the institutional line. They coordinate and support the educational team in the various tasks that allow the smooth functioning of the structure. The RU represents the Management and is the guarantor of the institutional framework during the review meetings that punctuate the ASEJ support. Their interventions in situations or with the professional network aim to support and guarantee the ASEJ support line in every situation. In this context, their working time is divided between the daily reception of children (to approximately 55%) and coordination tasks.

Your profile

• Hold a HES or ES diploma as a social educator or a title deemed equivalent
• Several years of institutional clinical experience with minors
• Extensive curriculum of continuing education directly related to clinical work with minors and families
• Good knowledge of socio-educational intervention in an outpatient setting
• Experience in a position of responsibility with personnel management would be a plus
• Natural leadership
• Very good analytical, organizational, coordination, and management skills as well as great writing skills
• Driver's license indispensable
