Your contribution

• Fully manage the specialized applications related to Swiss travel documents and work together with the team on their further development, as well as guarantee technical support for the Cantons, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and citizenship
• Plan and conduct sub-projects, ensuring compliance with agreed objectives, milestones, results, costs and deadlines
• Provide support to project managers, develop plans and decision bases, organize and document workshops and meetings
• Plan, coordinate and execute tests, releases and rollouts and manage the test laboratory
• Perform analyses, evaluate process indicators and provide support to quality assurance, testing and operational exercise activities
• Apply project management methods and tools and ensure training and information exchange with support and operations managers

What distinguishes you

• Tertiary-level technical education (SUP or SSS) or federal vocational certificate or diploma in computer science
• Experience in specialist support as well as in the management of tests and releases of complex specialist applications
• Analytical, logical and interdisciplinary approach, as well as an autonomous working method
• Communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to coordinate different interests and resolve conflicts constructively
• Team spirit with a strong service orientation
• Good written and oral knowledge of a second official language and English

fedpol develops and manages national information systems and performs supervisory, authorization and enforcement tasks in the field of weapons and explosives law. The Police and Identification Systems directorate guarantees the secure operation and further development of essential police information systems and databases, serves as the national connection point for the exchange of police information and provides forensic and identification services to national and foreign partner authorities. The Identity Documents and Central Offices division fulfills the Confederation's legal mandate in the field of identity documents and weapons and explosives law. It includes the Central Weapons Office, the Central Explosives Office, the Identity Documents and Id-e sector and the Security Documents and counterfeit money competence center. It is also responsible for high supervision, market surveillance, the issuance and development of identity documents and e-Id solutions as well as the analysis and fight against abuse and counterfeiting.
