The rheumatology & pain medicine clinic is the largest rheumatology clinic in northwestern Switzerland. Starting now or by arrangement, we are looking for a resident physician.

We are a continuing education clinic for rheumatology (cat. B two years), pain medicine (SSIPM, 1 year), and internal medicine (cat. D, 6 months).

A close interdisciplinary collaboration exists with the establishment's university orthopedics, spinal surgery, as well as the internal rehabilitation, internal medicine, and neurology clinics.
The rheumatology and pain medicine clinic actively participates in the doctor-patient (AP) teaching of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel.

Your tasks

• Admission and management of hospitalized patients in the clinic
• Assistance and infiltration during ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided interventions on the musculoskeletal system
• Treatment of outpatient patients within the rhuma-pain outpatient department (depending on level of training and experience in a hospital setting)
• Day, night, weekend, and emergency shifts
• Participation in the clinic's continuing education program

You bring

• Completed university degree
• At least 2 years of experience in a Swiss clinic (internal medicine and/or rheumatology)
• Degree verified and recognized by MEBEKO
• German language skills at minimum level C1 (Goethe-Institut)
• Enthusiasm and motivation for the profession as well as pleasure in learning
• Team spirit, flexibility, and agility

• Learning the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of inflammatory and degenerative rheuma-pain problems, including anatomy by imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound) and imaging-guided interventions on joints, soft tissues, and the spine
