TORMAX produces high-quality door and gate systems in its own factories in Switzerland. These are assembled by well-trained technicians and professionally maintained throughout their entire lifespan. TORMAX Schweiz AG is active nationwide, with the exception of French-speaking Switzerland, with headquarters in Bülach-Zürich and a branch in Bern. French-speaking Switzerland is covered by the sister company TORMAX Iffland.

Managing Director (m/f)

With enthusiasm and technical knowledge, you will work with your team to develop customized door solutions for demanding customers in German-speaking Switzerland and ensure their timely and cost-effective production, installation, and service throughout the entire life cycle.

Your tasks

• Development and implementation of the strategy in close cooperation with the management team and the Group headquarters
• Development and implementation of the budgets together with the management team
• Ensuring efficient sales activities in connection with targeted marketing measures to further increase market penetration and further promote the brand image
• Ensuring the technical conception of door solutions, their production, and installation - on schedule and within the calculated costs
• Ensuring a professional service organization (maintenance and repair)
• Ensuring the high quality of products and services through appropriate processes and quality controls
• Maintaining the operational readiness of the infrastructure, machines, tools, and vehicles through appropriate maintenance
• Responsibility for financial management, including P&L and budget
• Responsibility for compliance with local laws, occupational safety regulations, as well as internal rules and regulations of the Group
• Leading a motivated and strong management team with entrepreneurial spirit and by exemplifying the performance-oriented corporate culture
• In addition to the tasks of the Managing Director, direct responsibility for the Zürich branch

Your qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineer (ETH, university, FH) with additional business administration training
• Several years of professional experience as a Managing Director of an SME with a corresponding track record of performance
• Extensive experience in industrial companies with production
• Strong will to implement the growth strategy in the long term
• Very analytical and structured thinking personality with pronounced implementation strength and a hands-on mentality
• Pronounced customer orientation and acquisition experience as well as high quality awareness
• Innovative and excellent technical competence
• Enthusiastic and proactive leadership personality with charisma, high ability to motivate, assertiveness, and a confident appearance
• Proficient in German, good English skills
• Good IT knowledge (ERP, MS-Office)
• Willingness for travel within Switzerland
