Kanton Schaffhausen, Sozialamt The Sozialamt of the Kanton Schaffhausen fulfills overarching tasks in the areas of social assistance, victim assistance, and advance maintenance payments. It runs the specialist office for equality, violence prevention, and protection against violence and is responsible for the licensing, financing, and supervision of institutions for adults with disabilities as well as for residential child and youth services. Furthermore, the department performs tasks on behalf of the Confederation in connection with the accommodation, support, integration promotion, and material support of persons from the asylum and refugee sector.
