Located in the Vevey region, between city and country, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual deficiency. As a multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers those welcomed a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a set of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.

Integrated into the Fondation Eben-Hézer, the Cité du Genévrier is the keeper of the moral testament of its founder, Sœur Julie Hofmann. In this capacity, it considers the happiness of the people welcomed as the ultimate goal of its action.

Mission

The "Les Roseaux" group is a living space welcoming five adults (non-verbal) presenting severe intellectual deficiency and associated disorders. Support prioritizes activities in small groups and individually. The main objectives are predictability, structuring, and the arrangement of the environment.

These are the paradoxes that make this group unique.

Accompanying a person at Les Roseaux means:

• Providing individualized support in daily life activities and in various learning processes
• Knowing how to be patient, empathetic, and benevolent. Humor is also welcome!
• Working on the predictability of behavioral crises and behavioral disorders
• Promoting autonomy, communication, and self-determination, dignity, and the safety of residents
• Animating networks, writing reports
• Accepting that the person who does not express themselves nonetheless thinks and acts in their own way

Desired Profile

• Holding a diploma as an ES or HES educator and experience in the field of intellectual deficiency (among other things, communication support, management of behavioral disorders)
• Being comfortable with teamwork and communication
• Possessing experience in implementing life projects and adapted protocols
• Dynamic and endowed with a creative spirit in any situation
• Aware that observation, analysis, and reflection are the words that guide our action
• Possessing good resistance to stress
• Demonstrating a professional, assertive, and calm posture

You master standard IT tools, possess a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours, including weekends.
