This is the contribution you can make • Develop the doctrine, specifications, and principles of civil protection throughout Switzerland. Coordinate the civil protection service profile across all cantons • Initialize and accompany projects regarding the readiness of civil protection in armed conflict as well as disasters and emergencies • Develop strategies, principles, concepts, and political decision-making bases in the field of civil protection doctrine • Develop division and office projects for the further development of civil protection and the interfaces to all partners in civil protection • Advise and accompany cantonal offices and internal as well as external partner offices and lead multilingual specialist groups, sessions, and meetings • Represent the office in commissions and working groups as well as towards authorities and customers in the field of civil protection What makes you unique • University/University of Applied Sciences degree (Master) preferably in a political, scientific, or technical direction or equivalent training • Proven experience in the deployment of civil protection at the organizational level as well as in-depth knowledge of civil protection, especially civil protection • Stylistically proficient editorial skills as well as proven experience in the development of doctrines and in conceptual work in a demanding environment • High service orientation, assertiveness, and problem-solving competence • Organizational ability and sense of responsibility. Independent, exact, and reliable way of working. The Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz BABS is the nationally recognized coordination office for civil protection between federal offices, cantons, and third parties. It ensures principles and coordination, particularly in the areas of risk analysis, warning and alerting, training, telematics and protection infrastructure as well as disaster medicine, ABC protection and disarmament. Together with the cantons as well as other national and international partners, it possesses capabilities, current technologies and infrastructures for managing disasters and emergencies.
