La Fondation Vieillesse Heureuse Herisau is the home of more than 250 elderly people. Across the three sites Heinrichsbad, Ebnet and Dreilinden, approximately 260 employees contribute daily in our homes. They ensure a high quality of life for the residents and thus make a valuable contribution to society. It is important to us to offer employees a working environment in which they are satisfied and where they like to return.

At the Waldegg house, we offer approximately 40 people with dementia a home adapted to their individual needs. The Waldegg protected residential group, spread over two floors, is specially designed to meet the needs of our residents and offers rooms with 1 to 3 beds, as well as various living and lounge areas. Common activities take place daily. In addition, on certain days, the residential groups are visited by day guests.

We are looking for an experienced, calm and empathetic person, with heart and understanding for residents with dementia, as soon as possible or by agreement as

Your demanding and varied tasks:

• You autonomously take charge of care and support tasks within the scope of your competencies and support residents in activities of daily living.
• In close collaboration with a healthcare professional, you participate in basic care, reliably communicate relevant observations to the team and carefully document your work in the care documentation.
• You accompany the residents daily with love, patience and respect, convey security, orientation, comfort and face difficult and unpredictable situations with calmness, understanding and empathy.
• You respond individually to the existing needs, habits and capacities of the residents and support them to preserve their autonomy and self-determination.
• Through your respectful attitude, you contribute to a familiar atmosphere and to good collaboration within the team.

Our requirements:

• You have completed the SRK care assistant course and ideally have experience in long-term care and/or in supporting residents with dementia.
• You possess excellent knowledge of German orally and in writing and can communicate easily on a daily basis.
• Respect and empathy towards the residents are important to you and you bring patience, understanding and pleasure in relational work.
• Even in demanding situations, you keep your calm, act responsibly and respond to the individual needs of the residents.
• You work autonomously and reliably, like being part of a team and contribute to a pleasant and trusting collaboration.
