CRANE MECHANIC (m/f/d) Stahl Gerlafingen AG is a significant company within the AFV BELTRAME GROUP, which is a European market leader in the production of bar steel. Around 450 employees produce reinforcing steel from steel scrap in Gerlafingen. Stahl Gerlafingen AG is the largest recycling plant in Switzerland. General information Location Stahl Gerlafingen AG | Switzerland Contract type Day operation with on-call service Tasks/Responsibilities What to expect: • Mechanical maintenance of crane systems • Ensuring the required plant availability while complying with cost, quality, environmental, and safety specifications • Corrective and preventive maintenance and repair of crane systems in consideration of technical rules • Reporting of activities in SAP-PM • Compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and EKAS guidelines • Maintenance of plant documentation • Training of new employees • Prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases • Implementation of occupational safety instructions and the obligation to wear PPE • Performs on-call duty according to the on-call plan and is available for technical support Competencies What you bring: • Completed vocational training in a mechanical profession (e.g., Polymechaniker EFZ, Produktionsmechaniker EFZ, Fahrzeugschlosser EFZ or comparable) • Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in crane maintenance • Sound knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as the assembly and disassembly of machines and plants • Good German language skills, spoken and written; English skills are an advantage • User knowledge of MS Office 365; SAP PM knowledge is an advantage • Readiness to work in day operation with on-call service • Driving license category B • Ideally in possession of a crane, forklift, and aerial work platform license as well as knowledge in the area of occupational safety • Independent, reliable, and responsible way of working • Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and high level of commitment • Technical understanding as well as a solution-oriented mindset • Good physical condition as well as freedom from dizziness and no fear of heights We offer: • Demanding and versatile tasks in an international environment • Interesting and varied activity in a team of specialists • A working environment unique in Switzerland • Above-average social benefits
