The basis for this is our data platform in the Google Cloud, which we are building and developing according to Data Mesh principles. With our Lakehouse platform, we provide the teams with the necessary services to efficiently create, consume and share Data Products - all in the spirit of a modern, scalable and decentralized data architecture. In this role, you will be significantly involved in the further development of our data platform. Using modern technologies and architectures, you will help to make our platform future-proof and high-performing. Together, we create the technological prerequisites for the success of our AI initiatives. In the Data, Technology & Innovation area, around 600 software and system developers work throughout Switzerland and develop the technology of tomorrow in-house. In doing so, we also collaborate in global teams and networks. We shape and integrate the latest tools, organize hackathons and our agile product teams run self-organized and are independently responsible from A to Z. What to expect You bring your experience and skills to take the design and construction of our Lakehouse architecture in the Google Cloud to the next level You develop services (e.g. in ) for Data Ingestion, quality assurance, data protection and metadata management You advise and support developer teams in the conception, implementation and use of the platform for their Data Products and analytical use cases You operate and optimize the platform in the sense of DevOps, ensuring continuous improvements and innovation You stay at the pulse of time and evaluate new technologies and tools in the area of Data Engineering and Data Management What you bring with you You have a university degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in computer science, Data Science, business informatics or a comparable education. You have experience in the development of Data Engineering projects, advantage in the Google Cloud You have already gained experience in building Lakehouses, Data Lakes or Data Warehouses and know what is required for a successful setup You bring excellent programming skills, especially in You are familiar with the topic of Data Mesh or are willing to familiarize yourself with this topic You are interested in the topics "Computable" Data Governance and Data Architecture and are able to develop innovative solutions Good German skills in speaking and writing are mandatory If you have a passion for data, AI and innovative platforms and want to actively participate in shaping the data infrastructure for the future, we look forward to your application!
