TPA / Veterinary Practice Assistant Diagnostic Laboratory Basel

As a Veterinary Practice Assistant (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin or Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ), you will work in Basel in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and support the processing of samples from veterinary practices and animal clinics. You will take on tasks in sample reception and sample preparation, perform defined laboratory work, and ensure that samples are correctly recorded, assigned, and prepared for further diagnostics. The permanent position is to be filled immediately or by arrangement at a workload of 80 to 90 %.

What awaits you in this role

• Reception, control, recording, and assignment of incoming laboratory samples
• Preparation and processing of blood, urine, and stool samples
• Performance of defined laboratory investigations after training and according to internal specifications
• Collaboration in ELISA tests as well as in the preparation of microbiological investigations
• Operation of analytical devices within the scope of your area of responsibility
• Administrative tasks in sample reception, ordering, and communication with veterinary practices

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a Veterinary Practice Assistant (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin or Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ)
• Interest in veterinary diagnostic laboratory work and in working with samples
• Good German skills
• Willingness to work Saturday shifts once or twice per month until approximately 13:00
• Careful, structured, and independent way of working
