For our Beyeler ward in the University Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we offer you the opportunity to join as a Junior Ward Manager. In this role, you will support the Ward Manager in everyday leadership tasks and gradually take on more responsibility. An appreciative, interprofessional team as well as an innovative working environment await you, in which you can specifically develop your professional and personal competencies and actively contribute to the quality of psychiatric care for people aged 65 and over. Your tasks You work closely with the Ward Manager and support them in the operational and personnel management of the ward You actively work in direct care and gradually take on leadership responsibility You coordinate the nursing process and ensure a high quality of care You promote a person-centered and recovery-oriented attitude within the team You are a central contact person for patients, relatives, and the interprofessional team and ensure clear communication You see changes as an opportunity and actively help to shape them You support interprofessional cooperation and the further development of treatment standards You are part of the leadership team in the nursing service of the geriatric psychiatry Your profile You are a certified nursing professional HF/FH and bring experience in psychiatric nursing or in acute or long-term settings with adults aged 65 and over You bring initial leadership experience – or are motivated to grow into a leadership role and take on responsibility You communicate clearly, appreciatively, and at eye level It is a matter close to your heart to actively commit yourself to high-standard patient care, the team, and the further development of the ward Your confident handling of challenging situations and your flexible, independent way of working make you a valuable addition to the team You have very good German language skills and bring proficiency in using common IT applications The UPZ The Universitäre Psychiatrische Zentrum Bern (UPZ) is, as a university clinic, the leading competence center for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the capital region.
