General Director (60 to 70 %) « L’APS – Allianz der Produzent:innen Schweiz / Alliance des producteur·rice·s suisses / Alleanza dei produttori e delle produttrici svizzeri » is the new national professional association of independent film producers in Switzerland. It also brings together directors and screenwriters. The association defends the interests of its members before authorities, film support institutions, television channels, political bodies, and the administration. It is committed to favorable framework conditions for independent production, effective support instruments, and a strong professional network, both in Switzerland and internationally. The management ensures the daily operational management of the association and supports the co-presidency in the exercise of its responsibilities. It also represents APS to political authorities, film support institutions, the media, and industry partners. In this capacity, it actively contributes to setting up the structures and processes necessary for the development of a strong new association. The place of work is to be defined and will be determined jointly with the future general director as part of the establishment of the association. Commencement of duties is planned immediately or at a date to be agreed upon. Your missions Direction and organization of the association Ensure secretariat management. Implement the strategic orientations defined by the presidency and the committee. Prepare committee meetings and general assemblies, write minutes, and ensure the follow-up of decisions. Coordinate working groups, specialized commissions, and committee seminars. Representation of interests, external representation and networking Defend and represent the interests of the association before political bodies, authorities - notably the Federal Office of Culture (OFC) -, film support institutions, and other relevant decision-makers. Develop and implement an interest representation strategy focusing notably on public funding, support instruments, improving production conditions, and the competitiveness of Switzerland as a film production location. Organize professional events, notably within the framework of the Locarno Film Festival, the Solothurn Days, the Zurcher Film Festival, and other industry events. Represent the association within working groups and specialized commission bodies, in coordination with the committee. Develop and maintain relationships with partner associations, collective management organizations, as well as relevant institutions in Switzerland and abroad. Member management and support Ensure member follow-up, process membership requests, and develop relationships with existing members. Be the contact person for the requests, needs, and concerns of producers, and develop services and offers adapted to members. Communication (French / German) Develop and implement the communication strategy of the association. Write press releases, position statements, and other materials and coordinate translations. Your profile Experience in the associative field, interest representation, cultural policy, or the management of comparable organizations. Ease in relations with authorities, political bodies, and institutional partners; excellent negotiation and communication skills. Very good command of French and German; command of English is an asset. Communicative, unifying, and committed personality, endowed with a strategic vision and capable of working autonomously. Are assets: an established network in the Swiss cinema and audiovisual sector as well as experience in managing a secretariat or an associative structure.
