Laboratory Technician Binder Technology

Become part of our great team and contribute as: Laboratory Technician Binder Technology Northwest Switzerland What awaits you * Planning and implementation of performance tests to evaluate binder reactivity and hydration kinetics under various conditions * Investigation of the hydration and phase development of cements and binders using XRD/Rietveld analytics, isothermal calorimetry and complementary analytical methods (XRF, TGA/DSC) * Technical support of our six plants in the cluster in the implementation, evaluation and interpretation of XRD analyses * Implementation of various additive analyses, including determining density, viscosity, solid content and pH value * Participation in the construction and further development of analytical measurement methods, for example Blaine, laser granulometry and BET * Development, validation and optimization of analytical procedures for powdery and mineral materials * Evaluation and documentation of analysis results as well as creation of test and technical reports * Active cooperation in specialist and working groups as well as support in the continuous optimization of laboratory processes * Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards as well as care and maintenance of laboratory equipment What you bring * A completed training as a laboratory technician, construction material tester, chemical laboratory technician or a comparable training -- ideally with experience in construction material, cement or binder technology * Experience in an analytical laboratory as well as in handling modern laboratory equipment and measurement methods * Technical understanding and pleasure in working with laboratory and processing plants * A structured, careful and reliable way of working * A high level of quality and safety awareness * Analytical thinking skills and interest in materials science issues * Team spirit, strong communication skills and initiative * Resilience as well as enjoyment of a practical activity in the laboratory At Holcim (Schweiz) AG, we live a culture of diversity and inclusion.
