Les Archives de l'État de Berne collect, describe and preserve documents having archival value for the history of the canton of Berne, from the beginning of the Middle Ages to the present day. As modern service providers, Les Archives de l'État offer the administration, research and the interested public the possibility to consult their collections in reading rooms.

Your tasks

• Conservation and restoration of precious archives (books, deeds, audiovisual media, maps and plans)
• Provision of technical information to authorities and individuals
• Packaging of archives for exhibitions and loans
• Preparation of photographic material for digital processing
• Supervision of trainees in the workshop

Your profile

• Degree from a university of applied sciences or equivalent training
• Professional experience as a bookbinder (represents an advantage)
• Desired continuing education in the field of pest control
• Sense of service
