Senior Security Engineer, Detection & Response

The position is responsible for the establishment and operation of detection and response capabilities for the security infrastructure of an AI company. The focus is on incident detection, response to security incidents, and the development of corresponding tools.

Tasks

• Leading the response to security incidents across all levels of the technology stack
• Development and deployment of tools, including the use of language models, for threat detection
• Creation and adaptation of detections, playbooks, and workflows
• Review of metrics and processes in incident response and derivation of improvements
• Collaboration with security and engineering teams
• Participation in an on-call rotation

Profile

• Experience in handling security incidents and anomaly investigations in a team
• Practical knowledge of EDR, SIEM, or SOAR tools
• Sound understanding of cloud environments and operations
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams in a SaaS environment
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as Python as well as query languages such as SQL
• Ability to lead projects with little guidance
• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
