Canton Schaffhausen, Land Registry / Notary The Land Registry / Notary of the Canton of Schaffhausen is responsible for maintaining the land register of all municipalities in the canton. It is the advisory contact point for matters of property, inheritance, and corporate law, primarily in connection with real estate. Furthermore, it is responsible for the preparation and public notarization of all contracts regarding rights to real estate and is the cantonal authentication office.
