Under the responsibility of the SPCI deputy physician aggregator and in collaboration with the intensive care service, you will participate in the research project « Thermal DeepCath », which aims to combine thermal imaging, standard photographs of the central venous catheter insertion site, and clinical data, in order to develop a model capable of assessing the risk of infection related to central venous catheters in patients hospitalized in intensive care at the HUG. Daily screening of eligible patients in intensive care; You participate in the inclusion procedure and the collection of consent; You observe and perform the standardized acquisition of classic and thermal photos of CVC sites at the patient's bedside; You enter data into REDCap and perform secure storage of images on the HUG network. This position is ideally intended for medical students (Bachelor or Master) or in a healthcare field. You are comfortable in a hospital environment and show an interest in clinical research and innovation in the healthcare field. You demonstrate rigor, reliability, and good organizational skills. You have good interpersonal skills and enjoy teamwork. Previous experience in a hospital setting or in clinical research is an asset. Organization: work during the week and on weekends, on rotation with other students. The Service prévention et contrôle de l’infection (SPCI) has the mission of control and prevention of infections and reservoirs of resistant microorganisms in the hospital environment. The service is composed of a team of specialized nurses, infectious disease physicians having clinical and research functions, students and doctoral students, epidemiologists, and IT specialists. The service is also a collaboration center with the World Health Organization (WHO) concerning the control of antibiotic resistance, and the prevention of nosocomial infections.
