Financial Accountant as Finance Application Consultant 80–100%

Your job:

• You contribute your expertise from financial accounting to versatile business software projects

Analysis and optimization of financial processes surrounding the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment transactions, value-added tax, fixed asset accounting as well as monthly and annual financial statements

• Recording requirements, questioning processes and translating technical needs into clear implementation steps
• Accompanying companies in the optimization and digitalization of their financial processes
• Moderating workshops, structuring complex issues and developing understandable results
• Working at the interface between Finance, Business Analysis, ERP software and project implementation
• You accompany projects from the initial analysis through to conception and introduction
• Depending on experience, you will grow into project management or already take on independent responsibility in sub-projects and projects

In addition:

• You ensure a clear flow of information in the project and keep all stakeholders transparently up to date
• Targeted use of your process knowledge in finance and accounting, so that technically sound and practical solutions are created
• Support in testing new functions, checking results and ensuring high implementation quality
• Pragmatic solution finding for concerns regarding financial processes, ERP functions & business software
• Traceable documentation of requirements, decisions & implementation steps
• Support in training, workshops and understandable explanation of ERP functions
• Recognizing recurring questions or process problems, from which you derive meaningful improvements
• Active participation in standards, templates and best practices that make projects more efficient and understandable
• Ongoing expansion of your know-how in business software, finance and project work

Your profile:

• Completed further education or degree in business administration, business informatics, finance and accounting or a comparable field
• Professional experience in finance and accounting, controlling, fiduciary or in a comparable finance function
• Good understanding of financial processes, accounting processes and business connections from practice
• Enjoyment in questioning processes, structuring them and developing them further with digital solutions
• Strong affinity for ERP systems, business software and digitalization
• Ideally initial experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics NAV or a comparable ERP solution
• Experience in business analysis or project management is an advantage, but interest, process understanding and the willingness to familiarize yourself with these topics are more important
• Ability to record technical requirements, classify them logically and pass them on understandably
• Enjoyment of the interface between Finance, software, users and the project & developer team
• Experience as a key user, project member, ERP user or super user as an additional plus
