Specialist in Geriatric Psychiatry 80 - 100% Emmental Region

Geriatric psychiatry with time for the person, in a regionally anchored hospital with short distances and genuine team spirit. In Burgdorf, Canton Bern, we are looking for an attending physician in geriatric psychiatry with a workload of 80–100% starting immediately or by arrangement. A regional clinic with a specialized geriatric psychiatric offering awaits you, in which patient-centered care and interdisciplinary cooperation are the focus.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• You take on the attending physician responsibility for the diagnosis and treatment of older people with mental illnesses
• You bear the medical case responsibility in the inpatient and outpatient geriatric psychiatric setting
• You work closely and interdisciplinary with nursing, therapy, and somatic medicine
• You actively participate in the professional and conceptual further development of the area
• You take over the supervision and further training of assistant physicians

What you bring with you

• Specialist title for psychiatry and psychotherapy, ideally with a focus on or interest in geriatric psychiatry
• Experience in the care of older, mentally ill people
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing, at least level C1
