Social Animators / Social Animators For more than 70 years, the CSP has been acting in Geneva in favor of solidarity, dignity, and social justice. Created in 1986, l’Atelier Galiffe is today a recognized facility within the Geneva social and socio-sanitary network. With nearly forty years of experience in welcoming people in situations of social vulnerability, it is preparing to take a new step in its development. In the context of the opening of a new day center in spring 2027, we are hiring Social Animators / Social Animators (3 permanent positions at 60-70%) Our second day center will open its doors in April 2027 at rue de la Cartouchière, Plan-les-Ouates. It will offer a place of meeting, replenishment, and participation intended for people experiencing social and/or psychological difficulties. Through artisanal, creative, and relational activities, it will promote social ties. Everyone will be able to find a space there where they feel welcomed, respected in their autonomy, and free to be themselves. Your mission As a social animator, you bring to life a place of welcome, listening, and activities, non-medicalized, open, and accessible. You ensure that everyone finds their place there, respecting their history, their rhythm, and their resources. You propose activities adapted to the desires and capacities of the participants, prioritizing the pleasure of doing, without a search for performance or a spirit of competition. You contribute to making the center a warm place, open to free attendance, where everyone can participate in their own way. Your main responsibilities Welcoming the participants and promoting their integration. Designing, organizing, and animating artisanal, creative, artistic, culinary, or gardening activities, adapted to the desires and capacities of the participants. Listening to the participants, taking into account their requests and suggestions, supporting them, and directing them, when necessary, towards the partners and services of the network. Participating in the preparation and opening of the new day center. Collaborating with the team of the existing center to ensure the consistency of practices and to contribute to the development of the project in a logic of shared values and co-construction, and to participate in common reflections as well as team dynamics in the broad sense. Participating in organizational reflections, representing the center to partners, and collaborating with volunteers, replacement animators, and with the other services of the CSP. Your professional profile We are looking for professionals wishing to put their relational skills as well as their creative, artistic, or artisanal know-how at the service of people. Holder of a diploma in the fields of social work, community animation, or socio-cultural animation (or certifying training to be completed during employment). Training or skills in one or more artistic, artisanal, manual, or creative fields (wood, textile, plastic arts, DIY, gardening, upcycling, etc.) and the ability to share them with the participants. Proven experience and soft skills with people in situations of social and/or psychological vulnerability. Ability to build a relationship of trust with people who are sometimes very fragile. Excellent listening, adaptation, and innovation skills, with good emotional resilience. Field knowledge of the Geneva social network. Experience in project management desired. Taste for field work, group animation, and both individual and collective relationships. Ability to understand and support group dynamics, as well as to prevent and manage tensions and conflict situations. Team spirit, autonomy, and sense of organization. Why join us?
