D-HEST, Human Medicine Since the autumn semester 2017, ETH Zürich has been conducting the Bachelor's degree program in Human Medicine. This is developed in close cooperation with the higher education partners for the subsequent Master's education (University of Basel, University of Zurich and Università della Svizzera italiana). To strengthen the project team, we are looking for a Communication & Event Organisation employee (junior level) at the earliest possible date. The position comprises the varied areas of responsibility of communication and events within the Medicine project team, affiliated with and in close cooperation with the communication office of the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST). The focus lies on the online communication channels and includes text work, the establishment and expansion of the social media presence, as well as the support and maintenance of the various web presences related to medical topics at ETH Zürich. Support in the conception and design of digital media, graphics, and video material is also part of your exciting area of responsibility. In close consultation with the entire team, you will also assist in event planning and implementation. This concerns not only events related to the Human Medicine degree program, but also other events with a medical connection: from the graduation ceremony of our Bachelor students, to specialist conferences, to panel discussions and workshops for lecturers, our activities in the field of Live Communication are very diverse. A very varied field of activity awaits you, in which you will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders. The position can ideally be started as of 1 September 2026 or by arrangement with a 70% workload. You have a university degree in communication/event management or have completed a corresponding further education in this field. You are interested in medical topics and bring communicative skill as well as good organizational skills. Furthermore, you have good CRM and CMS knowledge and are familiar with the common social media networks. Ideally, you have InDesign/Photoshop user knowledge. You are characterized by responsible and independent working. You act flexibly and with appropriate pragmatism. A very varied activity, where arising tasks are characterized by short-termness and can be subject to spontaneous changes, suits you. Based on your very good social skills, you maintain a service-oriented way of working and enjoy working in a team. You communicate very well and appropriately not only in German, but also in English.
