Commit yourself to us to realize the vision of a solidary society, as a Team Leader of the Social Assistance Service 80% (m/f/x) Our Migration & Integration Department French-speaking Switzerland – a branch of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg employing a hundred female and male collaborators – is responsible for the support and integration of statutory refugees in the canton of Fribourg. On cantonal mandate, we welcome newcomers to our center in Matran, help them find their own housing, grant personal and material aid according to social assistance standards, and support them in steps towards professional and social integration. Additionally, we manage a community interpreting service active in several French-speaking cantons as well as a listening and counseling service against racism for the inhabitants of the canton of Fribourg. In order to strengthen the supervision of our Social Assistance Service, composed of about twenty social workers and administrative collaborators distributed into three teams, we are looking for a team leader. This person will join the two team leaders currently in office and contribute to the management and development of the Service's activities. Your tasks Main tasks related to team management (approximately 50%): Lead and support a team of social workers and/or administrative collaborators Control compliance with the principle of subsidiarity and the application of the Social Assistance Law Coordinate and supervise the tasks of the social workers and support them in complex situations Organize and facilitate intervisions Ensure the follow-up and distribution of files in agreement with the Service Manager Coordinate, distribute and follow up on specific tasks in agreement with the Service Manager Collaborate with other Services of the department and external partners Prevent and manage conflicts in collaboration with the Service Manager Main tasks related to case management (approximately 20%): Support and advise statutory refugees in their integration process within the framework of the social assistance law of the canton of Fribourg (LASoc) Establish monthly social assistance budgets/statements and authorize direct payments Support beneficiaries in various administrative procedures and in collaboration with other partner services/institutions Our requirements Training in social work or training deemed equivalent CAS in team management and/or continuing education in project management 2 to 5 years of experience in managing a team (approx. 7-8 people) in a similar context Mastery of the legal bases regarding social assistance and SKAS standards Solid knowledge of the partners of the Fribourg cantonal social network Skills in the field of migration and integration of refugees Proficiency in the use of standard IT tools Excellent organizational, analytical and prioritization skills in managing complex situations Assertive leadership, sense of responsibility, autonomy and ability to unite a team Excellent interpersonal skills, sense of empathy and solution orientation Mastery of French and good knowledge of German and English The place of work is Fribourg.
