Job description ## By the size of its collections, the Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire - Lausanne (BCUL) is one of the largest libraries in Switzerland. A public institution with a heritage, cultural, and academic vocation, the Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire - Lausanne (BCUL) depends on the Direction générale de la culture (DGC). At the heart of access to culture and information, you play an essential role for the users of the Unithèque site. To guarantee the quality of their welcome, facilitate their orientation, and ensure the fluidity of our public service, we are looking for rigorous professionals passionate about library science. Responsibilities ## • Ensure the welcome, information, and registration of users. • Manage the provision of documents for users and back-office tasks. • Ensure service (orders, searches, and classification) in open access and in closed stacks. • Ensure resource sharing services (Interlibrary Loan, Postal Loan and digitizations, etc.). • Assume responsibility for specific tasks, periodically renewed. Qualifications ## • CFC d-Agent·e en information documentaire or an equivalent deemed training. • 3 years of experience in the field of open access or public services. • Mastery of lending software as well as usual office tools required. • Oral knowledge of a foreign language required. • Ability to work both in a team and independently. • Spirit of mutual aid and collaboration. • Ease in contact with the public. • Precise, punctual, and dynamic.
