• IT - Software Engineering • Bern • Contracting • Part-time, 80-100% • 01.09.2026 - 31.12.2026 • Microsoft Windows, PowerShell Your tasks: • Assumption of an expert and architect role in Windows Client Engineering as well as active shaping of the future workplace architecture • Supporting engineers with complex technical issues, malfunctions, analyses, concepts and their implementation • Advising Product Owners and Product Managers on Windows Client Management, Endpoint Management, Cloud Transition and modern operating models • Development, operation and continuous optimization of modern client and endpoint management solutions • Conception and further development of automated Windows deployment processes with Windows Autopilot, Enrollment, Provisioning and device configuration • Analysis of existing architectures, processes as well as security, compliance and performance settings and derivation of scalable target architectures • Further development of patch, update, change, release, configuration and lifecycle management processes • Accompanying the introduction of new Windows versions, features, platform components and operating models • Development of scripts, automations and smaller tools with PowerShell as well as C# and .NET if required • Collaboration in architecture and technology decisions, tests, validations and continuous improvement measures • Ensuring traceable technical documentation as well as stable and long-term operable solutions   Your profile: • Completed vocational training or higher professional education in computer science or a comparable qualification • Many years of experience in Windows Client Engineering, Workplace Engineering, Endpoint Management or in a comparable expert or architect role • Experience in large and complex enterprise environments with several thousand managed Windows clients • Sound practical knowledge in Windows 10/11, policies, drivers, application deployment, patch management, client security and lifecycle management • Very good knowledge of modern deployment and operating models such as Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra Join, Hybrid Join and automated enrollment processes • Experience with cloud-based client and endpoint management • Very good PowerShell knowledge as well as sound experience in the automation of Windows client processes • Knowledge of C#, .NET or comparable technologies is an advantage • Good understanding of workplace security, especially security baselines, compliance policies, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access and hardening • Experience in the development of technical target architectures, decision bases and solution variants • Ability to prepare complex technical contexts understandably for engineers as well as technical and specialist decision-makers • Strong consulting, communication and teamwork skills as well as a high sense of quality and responsibility • Readiness for regular assignments at test and laboratory environments on-site in Bern • Very good German and English skills, French or Italian skills are an advantage
