Qualifications and characteristics ## • Completed training in the field of logistics or similar with further training as a customs specialist, export specialist, or foreign trade specialist with a federal diploma or equivalent • 3 years of professional experience in the logistics sector • Business fluent German skills (C1), good English skills (B2) as well as French skills (B1) are an advantage • Confident handling of MS Office as well as ERP systems (preferably SAP), user knowledge in transport or warehouse management systems as well as customs software (e.g., AEB, GTS) • Willingness to travel of around 10% for, e.g., visits to logistics centers, as well as a valid driver's license • Sound knowledge of Swiss import/export customs clearance as well as in the area of origin, preferential law, and free trade agreements • Analytical and structured way of working paired with a high sense of responsibility and strong communication skills in an international environment About the job ## In this versatile role, you take responsibility for ensuring and further developing all import and export processes in Switzerland, in consistent compliance with national and international regulations. You are the internal and external contact person for customs matters, create origin and preference calculations, and use free trade agreements for customs optimization. Your tasks include the creation and control of customs declarations as well as the operational management and optimization of customs software solutions in close cooperation with internal interfaces and external partners. You prepare customs and compliance audits and support the development of our trade compliance management system. In addition, you bear regional responsibility for the quality monitoring of our logistics services: You schedule replenishment transports, identify deviations, perform root cause analyses, and initiate appropriate measures to ensure 100% delivery capability. Regular audits in the logistics centers, close cooperation with the sales teams, and continuous process improvement round off your versatile area of responsibility.
