Eleven Solothurn municipalities of the Dorneck district (Dorneckberg, Solothurner Leimental and Dornach) form the Dorneck social region and are jointly responsible for the social care of the approximately 21-000 inhabitants. Operationally, the social services are integrated into the lead municipality of Dornach and provide services in the areas of social assistance, child and adult protection, and the AHV branch. In the social assistance department, we are looking for an open-minded specialist as of September 2026 or by arrangement as a Social Worker (60%) ## possibly with the possibility to take over the additional function as Deputy Head of the Social Assistance Department Your area of responsibility • Assessment of the need of those seeking help • Calculation and provision of economic social assistance according to law, guidelines and competence regulations • Clarification of subsidiary benefits • Support and integration of persons in need of protection and asylum seekers • Promotion of professional and social integration • Internal dossier reviews • Consultations (personal social assistance) • Cooperation with other specialist offices, authorities, social institutions and organizations Your profile • University of Applied Sciences degree in Social Work • Solution- and resource-oriented working • Enjoyment of working with those seeking help and authorities • Flair for numbers and rapid comprehension • Knowledge of and interest in social assistance and social insurance law • Ability to quickly and correctly grasp and process facts • Ability to work in a team, resilience, sense of responsibility and good error culture • Result-oriented, structured and cost-conscious working • Good IT application skills Your Benefits In addition to attractive and contemporary employment & working conditions, we offer you a versatile and demanding task, which you can carry out largely under your own responsibility.
