Social worker or special educator # Office social des Grisons | 80 % | Coire ## The Department of Families, Children and Youth is responsible for family and youth matters as well as foster care. It is responsible in the areas of childcare complementary to the family as well as children's and youth homes for the planning of services, authorization, financing, quality assurance and monitoring of services. The foster care and adoption service is part of the Department of Families, Children and Youth and is responsible for the assessment of suitability, monitoring and advising foster families. In the field of adoption, the service's tasks include the professional examination of adoption applications as well as the monitoring and support of adoptive families. Another task is collaborating in the monitoring of childcare complementary to the family and institutions for children and youth. Families, Children and Youth We are looking for a special educator or a social worker for the foster care and adoption service of the cantonal social office starting from 1 November 2026 or by agreement. Your area of responsibility • Autonomous implementation of monitoring visits as well as follow-up and advice in ongoing placements • Assessment of the suitability of foster families • Contact person for questions relating to foster care with authorities, interested parties and third parties • Ensure quality assurance and continuous development of processes for the foster care and adoption service • Participation in the monitoring of childcare services complementary to the family • Other varied, interesting and responsible activities What we expect from you • Degree in social pedagogy, social work or a related discipline (psychology/educational sciences) • Experience in the field of family support / child protection or the willingness to undergo training accordingly • Solution-oriented and networked thinking and action, interdisciplinary understanding of tasks and team spirit • Autonomous, targeted and responsible way of working as well as reliability and competence • Pronounced communicative, conceptual and writing skills • Knowledge of the official cantonal languages desired • Good computer skills (notably MS Word) • Category B driver's license We look forward to receiving your application online and getting to know you.
