Since January 1, 2026, and on a limited-term basis, we have opened a transit center in the Winterthur area. The center offers space for up to 100 asylum seekers. It is located in an underground facility that meets current security, infrastructure, and protection requirements. The premises are functionally and purposefully designed to create a pleasant and structured environment for the residents. For the care team, we are looking for a flexible and committed person who is willing to take on various shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts. Your tasks Accompaniment and counseling of refugees in various everyday matters Processing of arrivals and departures: provision of personal files, entry material, and receipt of material, departure billing Co-responsibility for conflict resolution and management according to the care principles Introduction and guidance on cleaning and maintenance of living quarters and implementation of cleaning and hygiene concepts Planning, introduction, and guidance on housekeeping and official business Co-responsibility for compliance with the house rules in the center and implementation of the organizational handbook regarding safety and emergencies Ensuring orderly center operations and a quiet atmosphere Taking on temporally variable working hours (including day, night, and weekend shifts) Our requirements Completed training and professional experience are an advantage in care or household management; experience in the migration sector is desirable Good knowledge of the German language and good oral knowledge of English, further foreign language skills are an advantage Good computer user skills (especially MS-Office and Internet) High sense of responsibility, hygiene, and quality awareness Initiative, independence, and high level of work organization Flexibility, stress tolerance, and assertiveness Willingness to perform temporally variable working hours High sense of responsibility and duty Cultural openness Impeccable reputation Place of work is Kanton Zürich (Winterthur) Start of work: immediately or by agreement The position is limited until .
