• 07 August 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • German (Fluent), English (Fluent), French (Intermediate) • Several locations available Route de Moncor 12, 1701 Fribourg Show more • Log in to see the jobup.ch salary estimate Ideal office location: Headquarters in Fribourg (hybrid) Your responsibilities • Lead and develop the EHS team (4 employees) with national responsibility • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements (SUVA, EKAS 6508, UVG, VUV, environmental regulations) • Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace accidents and occupational diseases • Promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments • Advise management and collaborate closely with authorities and internal stakeholders • Manage training concepts and deliver EHS training programs for managers, employees, and subcontractors • Analyze incidents and derive sustainable corrective and preventive actions • Oversee EHS reporting and the management of key performance indicators (KPI) Your profile • University degree (e.g., electrical or mechanical engineering) or equivalent qualification, such as a Swiss EHS diploma, complemented by several years of relevant professional experience • Qualification in occupational health and safety (e.g., ASGS specialist, SiBe or equivalent) • Proven experience in EHS / occupational safety, ideally in an industrial environment • Good knowledge of Swiss safety regulations (UVG, EKAS 6508) • Recognized EKAS certification is an advantage • Experience working with SUVA and regulatory authorities desirable • Strong leadership, communication, and assertiveness skills • Languages: fluent German and English, and ideally good knowledge of French • Availability to travel in Switzerland (approximately 50%) Your opportunity • Direct reporting line to the Senior Director EHS Central Europe • Key role within an international matrix organization • Part of a well-established EHS function at OTIS, recognized as a benchmark • Access to global standards, structured processes, and company-wide EHS initiatives • Close collaboration with the EHS EMEA and Central Europe teams • High-visibility leadership role with a significant impact on safety performance and culture • Competitive compensation package aligned with the Swiss market • Structured onboarding and strong development opportunities
