For our material testing laboratory, we are looking for Test Technician Your tasks Responsibility for smooth and safe testing operations in inactive and active (hot lab) material testing (maintenance, calibrations) Development, construction, assembly, mounting, adjustment of material testing apparatus in cooperation with scientists as well as internal technical specialist departments and external companies Creation and updating of QS documentation, technical specifications and work instructions for the execution of tests Guidance and support of doctoral students and postdocs during material testing trials and during the assembly of test facilities Coordination of sample production including interface drawings Your profile Technical vocational training with further training as a technician TS or comparable several years of professional experience Basic knowledge in measurement, control and electrical engineering as well as in data acquisition and CAD/design Knowledge in mechanical manufacturing as well as in handling electromechanical and servohydraulic testing equipment and pumps Manual dexterity, a broad technical understanding as well as a pronounced quality and safety awareness Good English skills for cooperation in an international environment Readiness to work with radioactive materials in the hot lab We offer Our institute is based on interdisciplinary, innovative and dynamic cooperation.
