Civil engineer geotechnical structures

What you can set in motion. • In this role, you assume the specialized technical leadership for retaining structures, with an orientation towards geotechnical structures, for the construction and maintenance projects of the CFF infrastructure. You also provide support to the Tunnel, Geotechnics and Special Works areas. • You verify project files, from variant studies to preliminary designs and construction projects, for retaining structures and covered trenches in order to guarantee the correct application of technical specifications and quality requirements. To this end, you collaborate closely with the executing project managers and the monitoring specialists. • You provide expert services within the CFF for the evaluation of existing retaining structures and for strategic and operational advice concerning the implementation of construction measures. • In your role, you are responsible for the development of the CFF technical directives for the design and construction of retaining structures and for conservation, maintenance and upkeep measures. You thus participate actively in extending their useful life and you organize the continuous training of internal specialists at the SBB in this field. • You manage research projects regarding innovation and development in the field of geotechnical structures and retaining walls as well as their inspection. What you bring. • A responsible, autonomous and independent approach in your work characterizes you. • You have experience in leading technical teams and communicate in an adapted manner with different interlocutors. You possess a wide network in the technical field that you are ready to develop both internally and externally. • You bring several years of practical experience in geotechnical civil engineering and in-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete and natural stone retaining structures. • You are familiar with the state of the art and technique in the field of geotechnical civil engineering and possess specialized knowledge in railway operations as well as regulations. • You benefit from higher education in the field of civil engineering / geotechnics (HES / university / EPF). • You have an excellent level in German (C1 level) and possess good knowledge (B2 level) in Italian or in French.
