As a regional hospital/acute care hospital with emergency services, nursing home, and Spitex, we are responsible for the basic medical care of the Davos population and guests. Your area of responsibility

You will receive the following insights

• Supervision of inpatient internal medicine patients
• Assistance with patient admission and discharge
• Learning and practicing specific clinical examination techniques as well as assessment of technical examinations
• In the emergency department: medical emergency admissions, care for outpatient/GP patients, participation in minor surgical procedures (wound care, repositioning, casting)
• Medical student interns will be integrated into the on-call service operations

Your profile

• Medical student interns in the elective study year (CH) or internship year/PJ (D)
• very good German language skills in speaking and writing
• independent, reliable way of working
• resilient, flexible, responsible, and eager to learn
• working in a team and having an interest in learning more about how a regional hospital operates

Our offer

• Learning clinical assessment (anamnesis, status) in inpatient and outpatient patients, holistic assessment of a patient with the creation of a diagnostic and therapy plan
• Carrying out diagnostic tests, learning informed consent discussions, participating in specialist medical examinations (ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy)
• Learning differential diagnostic approaches as well as expanding the ability for problem-oriented thinking
