Legal Internship High Court Criminal Division (2. SK/BK), 80% - 100%

The High Court of the Canton of Bern offers aspiring lawyers the opportunity to complete a six-month practical judicial training in its criminal or civil division in the sense of the Ordinance on the Bar Examination (BSG 168.221.1).

Your tasks

As a legal intern in the 1st Criminal Chamber as well as the Appeals Chamber of the Criminal Division, you will participate independently in the clarification of legal issues, take minutes during hearings, and, under expert supervision by the responsible court clerks, draft written judicial reasoning as well as draft judgments in written proceedings.

Your profile

We expect from you a completed degree in law (MLaw) at the time of starting the position. You are motivated, interested, and possess editorial skill. You are familiar with working with Windows/Office. Ideally, you have initial practical experience.

We offer you

We offer you a versatile and interesting training opportunity with regard to the upcoming bar examinations as well as legal practice. The degree of employment varies between 80% and 100%. The working conditions are based on the Cantonal Personnel Law (PG; BSG 153.01) and the Ordinance on the Employment Relationship of Interns (Internship Ordinance PAV; BSG 153.012.1).
