Social Worker for Child and Adult Protection (80% workload, limited until 31.12.2029)

To this end, the administration of the city of Liestal provides numerous services with its 5 departments and 13 divisions - efficiently and effectively. To complement the team in the Safety/Social sector, we are looking for the Social Counseling department as of October 1, 2026 or by agreement a: Social Worker for Child and Adult Protection (80% workload, limited until 31.12.2029) Main tasks: • Investigations on behalf of / for the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) with reporting and proposals for measures • Management of mandates with the respective legal and / or official requirements for reporting (interim and final reports) • Implementation of child protection measures on behalf of the KESB • Implementation of adult protection measures on behalf of the KESB • Professional support for voluntary placements • Foster care supervision on behalf of the KESB Professional requirements: • Completed studies in Social Work • Experience in child and adult protection • Knowledge of the relevant cantonal laws • Good knowledge of MS-Office, knowledge of KLIB is an advantage Personal requirements: • High sense of responsibility and loyalty • Teamwork, resilience • High communication skills and consulting competence • Stylistically correct German • Independent, efficient and structured work We offer: • Varied activity in an exciting and challenging environment • Modern employment conditions • Diverse fringe benefits • Ten minutes from the train station by public transport For further information, please contact Roger Schär, Head of Social Counseling, at phone number 061 927 53 67.
