About the area

The air defense of the Swiss Army serves in particular to protect Swiss airspace and important objects against threats from the air. As a support team, we are responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing the technical area of air defense systems. In addition to medium air defense, this will in the future include ground-based air defense systems as well as modern sensors for detecting and tracking aerial targets.
Here in Emmen, the focus is on training and its operation, where we are involved as a small team.
We cover a large part of the training and user support here.
