Quality Professional - QA Visual Inspection (60%) (m/f/d)

In this versatile role, you will support the assurance of our high quality standards by reviewing batch and production documentation, performing GMP controls directly in production, as well as conducting visual sample inspections (AQL).

In doing so, you will work closely with the production teams, verify compliance with applicable manufacturing and quality specifications, and make an important contribution to the GMP-compliant manufacture of our life-saving products.

Competencies and Responsibilities

• Review of batch and production documentation for completeness and accuracy (Batch Review).
• Control of workflows directly in production based on predefined checklists and GMP regulations.
• Processing and release of batches in SAP so that they can be provided for packaging.
• Performance of visual sample inspections (AQL) on semi-finished products.
• Participation in the qualification of test sets for visual inspection.
• Support in the training and (re-)qualification of employees in visual inspection.
• Collaboration with production on questions regarding GMP specifications as well as documentation of the controls performed.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

• Completed vocational training, ideally in the laboratory, pharma, or food sector or a comparable environment.
• Initial knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
• Good IT user skills, especially in MS Office; experience with SAP and Veeva is an advantage.
• Very careful, precise, and reliable way of working as well as a strong sense of quality and responsibility.
• Independent and responsible personality with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as the ability to work constructively with employees from different departments and hierarchical levels.
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work in early and evening shifts and the necessary temporal flexibility for this.

About this position

• As part of our QA Visual Inspection team at the Bern site, you will work closely with production and support compliance with our high GMP and quality standards. Your daily work includes, in particular, the review of batch documentation, GMP controls directly in production, and visual quality controls.
• The position comprises a 60% workload, distributed over three full working days per week. After your induction, you will work at regular intervals in the early shift (06:00-15:15) and evening shift (14:30-23:30).
