The Regionalgefängnis Bern is looking for a strong, empathetic, and organizationally strong personality for the overall management of our catering department, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Kitchen management: Independent organization and economic management of the entire catering department
• Culinary arts: Responsibility for a balanced, high-quality, and regional cuisine
• Work agogics: Instruction, promotion, and training of admitted persons in everyday kitchen life
• Management: Rota planning, inventory management, budget control, and HACCP hygiene

Your profile

• Professional competence: Eidg. Dipl. Küchenchef/-in with several years of leadership experience as a Head Chef and knowledge of the Cook and Chill process
• Agogics: Experience or training in work agogics is an advantage (apprentice training, etc.)
• Soft Skills: Confident leadership personality with high assertiveness and tact, a strong desire to shape things as well as joy in innovation and process optimization, high resilience, ability to work under pressure, and absolute discretion, as well as strong self-motivation and communication skills
• Languages: Very good German and good oral French skills (mandatory)
• Minimum age from 28 years

About the Amt für Justizvollzug

The Amt für Justizvollzug (AJV) is responsible for the open and closed execution of sentences and measures for adults and juveniles within the Sicherheitsdirektion of the Canton of Bern (SID), with around 1000 employees. To fulfill this task, the office has at its disposal four concordat correctional facilities, four Regionalgefängnisse, the guard station at the Inselspital, the detention management center, as well as probation and execution services.
