Job description ## As a social worker within a Regional Office for the Protection of Minors (ORPM), you assess the living conditions of minors and propose appropriate support measures. Depending on the situations, you request and inform the judicial child protection authorities. Your mission concretely involves the protection of minors at risk in their development. In order to contribute to the important mission of protecting minors and to respond to the growth of mandates entrusted to the Direction générale de l'enfance et de la jeunesse, we are currently looking for several social workers for the protection of minors (ASPM) to complete the teams of our various offices. Responsibilities ## • Accomplish the protection mission, by assessing the living conditions of minors and proposing appropriate support measures while having the reference of about sixty socio-educational interventions, for minors and their family. • Participate in the organization of the Regional Office for the Protection of Minors (on-call, colloquium, duo collaboration for certain situations, working group, etc.) and in the sessions organized by the service (plenary, working group, etc.). • Appear at justice hearings as an expert. • Maintain and develop skills continuously, according to the requirements set by the service and according to personal needs validated by management. Qualifications ## • Holder of a Bachelor's from a recognized HES-type social school (social work track) or a university degree (Bachelor or Master), deemed useful for the performance of the job; • SFRP recognition required for foreign diplomas; • Good knowledge in the field of child development and family issues, as well as legal knowledge in the field of family law; • Ability to conduct difficult interviews, and management of conflictual relations particularly in the context of compulsory assistance; • Adaptability, flexibility, and stress management; • High-level capacity for analysis, synthesis, and writing; • Knowledge of the Vaud network related to the protection of minors, the decision-making system, evaluation tools in the protection of minors, organization, and legal standards; • Category B driver's license necessary and use of a private vehicle planned as part of the activity. The disclosure of any criminal records is required for this position. An allowance for the use of a private vehicle is paid monthly.
