Senior Polisher

GENERAL DEFINITION
The Senior Finishing Polisher is capable of defining and performing all finishing operations in order to set up and validate the necessary processes and tooling.
He/She is autonomous in the validation of part quality.
He/She must be able to provide technical support to a team of polishers.
He/She puts his/her skills to use for the benefit of his/her team.
In all situations, he/she can refer directly to his/her supervisor.

MISSIONS

1. Work organization

a. Anticipate the tooling, fixtures and consumables necessary for the work to be performed
b. Define production sequences (tools, techniques, time, machines)
c. Organize the production planning following priorities
d. Distribute the work

a. Technically support the team
b. Organize and optimize finishing processes
c. Validate the conformity of parts in terms of dimensions and aesthetics
d. Carry out production according to identified priorities and challenges
e. Coordinate with inspection

1. Management of the polishing and washing workshop

a. Anticipate, prepare orders for consumables, tooling and communicate them to the management secretariat
b. Guarantor of the monitoring of finishing orders (OF)
c. Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop is respected
d. Guarantor of the inventory (precious metals, tools, …)
e. Control, supervise the washing workshop, by possible delegation

VERSATILITY - AUTONOMY
A. Occupational health and safety
o. Respect and enforce safety rules in the use of machines and the handling of substances (part cleaning baths, lubricants, …)
o. Recover materials, sort and dispose of waste according to current environmental standards

B. Work organization
o. Organize the workshop work according to the workload table and priorities given by his/her supervisor
o. Able to face complex situations
o. Find technical and organizational solutions
o. Transmit necessary information to polishers during absences

C. Versatility
o. Participate in the aesthetic validation of parts undergoing machining
o. Technically support polishing subcontracting
o. Be autonomous in contact with suppliers (telephone inquiries, requests for quotes, maintenance, …)

REQUIRED PROFILE - TRAINING
2 to 3 years of experience in supervising production teams, in the field of watchmaking finishing
Having organized and monitored the work of a team
Autonomous in the choice of technical solutions
Very good interpersonal skills, knowing how to communicate within a team
Meticulous, good ability to concentrate
To be versatile
