The Office of Corrections is responsible for the administrative and practical execution of sentences and measures. JVA Solothurn operates stationary execution of sentences and measures for adult men. For the Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Solothurn, we are looking for a Social Worker, 60%-80%, starting immediately or by arrangement, on a fixed-term basis at the Deitingen location.

Your responsibility

• You complement the social services of the JVA in terms of personnel and accompany the milieu-therapeutic oriented residential groups of the execution of sentences and measures.
• You advise the predominantly psychologically burdened admitted persons in a social work function and are available to them as well as to the pedagogical care and reference persons regarding social-administrative and social-legal questions.
• You conduct conversations of varying thematic nature with admitted persons and correspond with authorities. Furthermore, you write reports, applications, statements, and complaints.
• A task that is equally challenging as it is exciting awaits you in a highly interdisciplinary environment in the context of forensics and law.

Your profile

• You have completed training as a social worker or social pedagogue and proven experience in social work as well as in the execution of sentences and/or measures.
• In dealing with demanding execution processes in a coercive context, you demonstrate a risk- and resource-oriented attitude.
• You are resilient, flexible, and enjoy working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
• You possess good IT skills and an impeccable reputation.
