For our beautiful regional and personally managed SPAR Frischmarkt in Appenzell, we are looking for an apprentice starting in 2027 for the position of retail specialist CFC apprentice. Located in the heart of Appenzell, a young and dynamic team works in close collaboration. The large cheese counter and the Breitenmoser Appenzeller Fleischspezialitäten AG integrated into the SPAR Frischmarkt with more than seven employees and two apprentices complete the team in the lower part of Appenzell.

Food retail specialists sell various fresh products such as fruits, vegetables and cheeses. But also bakery products, confectionery, meat, frozen foods, canned goods, delicacies as well as beverages. Composing the assortment: ####

• Present products in the sales area and in the display window in a customer-oriented manner
• Order merchandise from the supplier or manufacturer, check the receipt of goods and store them correctly
• Make fresh products available in sufficient quantities and at the right time in the store

Serving customers: ####

• Inform customers about the shelf life, nutrient content and composition of food
• Inform customers about novelties in the food sector
• Give advice for dish preparation on request
• Cut, portion and pack merchandise on request
• Process payments
• Receive complaints and propose solutions

Administrative tasks: ####

• Label items with the correct prices
• Monitor food expiration dates

Specializations ##

The choice of specialization is made at the beginning of the basic training according to the company's orientation. Training in the chosen specialization takes place in the 3rd year of the basic vocational training.
