Product Manager:in Garden

What awaits you

• Responsibility for the operational and economic further development of our garden assortment, ranging from tools and smart gardening including robotic lawnmowers, through irrigation and planting to care and seeds
• Management of your assortments with a view to turnover, contribution margin and budget targets as well as deriving suitable measures
• Independent support and negotiation with manufacturers and suppliers as well as evaluation of new partners and competitive sources of supply
• Continuous observation of market and garden trends to identify new products, innovations and market opportunities early on and to utilize them for your assortment
• Implementation of the pricing strategy across all sales channels and further development of an attractive and competitive product portfolio
• Co-shaping of marketing and communication focuses and their implementation together with marketing and sales
• Close cooperation with purchasing regarding procurement strategy, product availability as well as management of stock upper limits and target reaches

What you bring with you

• Completed commercial basic training (EFZ) preferably in the field of retail or e-commerce including further training or studies in the field of marketing, product management, purchasing or business administration
• 2-3 years of professional experience in product management or in a comparable role and ideally knowledge from the retail or e-commerce environment
• Enthusiasm and a good sense for garden products, trends and innovations; practical product or industry knowledge in the garden sector is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with manufacturers and suppliers, combined with strong communication skills and pronounced negotiating skills
• An independent and efficient way of working as well as initiative, analytical thinking and entrepreneurial action
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing, good English skills as well as pleasure in making a difference together in a team
