Training Internship

Are you interested in gaining insight into the field of activity of a polyvalent social service? The municipality of Brügg is located on the southeastern outskirts of Biel/Bienne BE and has around 4-750 inhabitants. Based on a cooperation agreement, the Soziale Dienste Brügg, in the seat municipality model, also performs the tasks in the area of statutory social assistance and child and adult protection for the neighboring municipalities of Aegerten, Studen and Schwadernau. As of 1. January or 1. February 2027, we have an internship position to award. Tasks during the internship ### • Collaboration in the area of social assistance, in particular counseling and financial support as well as conversations with clients • Under the guidance of the responsible practical instructor, you will manage your own cases in the area of social assistance (usually 10-12 dossiers) • Participation in team meetings and taking over new cases • Participation in external status meetings in various social welfare institutions • Accompanying social workers to status meetings or other appointments in the area of child and adult protection and thus gaining a holistic insight • Regular exchange with institutions and offices • Administrative tasks You bring with you ### • Committed personality with an interest in social issues • Motivation to gain insights into social assistance as well as child and adult protection • Joy in working independently and in contact with different people • Independent, service-oriented and team-oriented way of working • You have already completed a first internship in Social Work during your studies • Oral French skills are an advantage Our offer ### • A versatile, interesting and demanding activity in a polyvalent field of work • A motivated and experienced team of 12 social workers and 6 clerks • 40-hour week • Modern and bright office premises • Easily accessible by public transport Remarks • The employment is limited to 6 months. • Start of position as of 1.
